Public visitation day and special awards

In the morning, we were invited to have breakfast with the Intel ISEF media people. Then the exibition hall opened for 3000 school kids, so we had to explain them our projects and get them interested into science.
At the same time we got interviewed by the european journalist for the italian radio.

In the last symposia we got to know that the astronauts on the ISS do interesting scientific experiments but they also admitted that they do lots of silly things like playing with food.

In an evening ceremony, companies got the chance to award 300 special prices for projects associated with their interests. CERN gives Fabian the opportunity to visit their facilities in Geneva.

Heute Morgen luden uns Intel ISEF Presseleute zu einem gemeinsames Frühstück ein. 

Anschliessend wurde die Ausstellung den ganzen Tag für 3000 Schüler geöffnet und wir versuchten, ihnen die Wissenschaft näher zu bringen. Dazwischen wurden wir vom europäischen Medienvertreter für das italienische Radio interviewt.

Später besuchten wir unser letztes Symposium. Zwei NASA Astronauten erzählten über die Forschung auf der ISS. Sie gaben zu, nebst seriöser Arbeit auch oft herumzualbern.

 

In einer Abendzeremonie bekamen Firmen die Chance, 300 Spezialpreise für Projekte in ihren Bereichen zu vergeben. CERN gibt Fabian die Möglichkeit, ihr Forschungszentrum in Genf zu besuchen.
